What city are you going to tell us about, Veronica?

Jacksonville, Florida.

 

Is it the city where you are living right now?

Yes, it is.

 

How would you describe Jacksonville, Florida  to someone who has never been there?

It is a large city – geographically. St. Johns River (one of the few rivers that runs south to north) is its focal point. The weather can be the best part. Sunny days!! The city offers entertainment and a variety of dining. Along with some fabulous beaches!!

What is your favourite thing or place in Jacksonville?

Some very good restaurants – like to visit River & Post Restaurant – great views of the city and a nice place to hang out with friends!

 

What is your favourite thing to do in Jacksonville when you have some time off?

Visit the beach.

 

What is your favourite restaurant?

River and Post, located on Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, FL – great views of the city from their rooftop.

 

 

What is your favourite cheap restaurant for a quick lunch?

Burrito Gallery, located in Riverside.

 

What’s your favourite place to have a beer or a cocktail in Jacksonville, Florida?

Post and River but there is more: Hopsinger – has a great view too and great food!

 

What do you recommend doing on a rainy day?

Sun-ray Cinema in 5 points; watch a movie and have some beer or wine while watching!!

 

What do you recommend doing for free in Jacksonville, Florida?

Walk along the river or visit the Cummer Museum any Tuesday after 4, admission is free!!

Is there one thing not many people know about Jacksonville you would like to tell us?

The original name of Jacksonville was Cow Ford.
